DESCRIPTION An original Finnish WWI medal, the 4th class Cross of Liberty without swords, awarded for the merits of the Finnish War of Independence (1918). The medal is of blue-enameled bronze with silvered details, attached with the red-and-white fabric ribbon. The medal is designed by the famous Akseli Gallen-Kallela. This example is one of 2 100 crosses manufactured. CONDITION The medal is in good vintage condition with small signs of wear. The enamels are intact.
